The Football League Championship is often called The Championship or, for sponsorship reasons, the Coca-Cola Football League Championship. Under the reorganization of the league, the Second and Third Divisions were renamed the First and Second, respectively. Twenty-four teams presently comprise the Coca-Cola Football League. The First and Second Divisions also have 24 teams. All three divisions play a 46-game season with each team playing the others in a home and away series. Total points at the end of the season determine the league champion. Three points are awarded for a win and one for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Sunderland won the first Coca Cola title in 2004-05. Reading was the 2005-06 champion. Marlon King of the Watford club, was the leading scorer for the 2005-06 season with 21 goals. Three players, Dave Kitson, Reading, Cameron Jerome, Cardiff, and Kevin Doyle, Reading, tied for second with 18 goals. Four clubs averaged over 24,000 spectators for their 2005-06 home games.
